- 3DM556A model motor driver help motor generates less heat, noise and runs smoother.
- It is design as a low cost 57 series three phase stepper motor. It has 15 step modes.
- The maximum step resolution is 25000 pulse/ rev.
- The range of operation current can be set to 8 mode from 1.4A - 5.6A with 0.7A difference between each mode, and automatic half-current switch, over voltage and over current protection.
- This driver using DC power. The operation voltage range is 24VDC - 36VDC, with minimum 20VDC and maximum 50VDC limit.

- Operation detail
- Microstepping setup:SW5-SW8 control Microstepping. Up to 15 mode. Setting Microstepping require driver fully shut down.
- Output current setup:SW1-SW3 control output current. Up to 8 mode.
- Automatic half-current switch mode :SW4. Turn off enable this mode. Turn on disable this mode. In general, keep the mode enabled to reduce heat generation and enhance performance. When enable the mode, the current will start dropping after 0.4 second last pulse received. The current will reduce to half(about 60% of operation current). This mode could reduce heat generation to 36% in theory.
- Logic input:PUL+ and PUL- are pulse signal¡¯s positive and negative input. DIR+ and DIR- are direction control signal¡¯s positive and negative input. ENA+ and - ENA- are enable/disable signal¡¯s positive and negative input.
- Power input:DC power. Operation voltage range is 20-40VDC. The power supply must has power output more than 100W.
Indicator LED:Green LED is on means the diver is powered. Red LED is on means error. It happen when the driver is running at over-voltage or /and over -current condition. When driver has Red LED on, It must be re-power and re-start to removed the error.
- Installation recommendation :The Dimension of driver is 118*75.5*34 mm. The distance between two mounting hole is 112mm. Better mount on vertical metal surface for heat transform.
