Product Description:
- External speakers, headphones; External dynamic microphone, electret microphone can be uesd.
- Using the emergency PTT button to launch operations
- External PTT switch or foot switch for launch operations can be done with using the Adapter's PPT socket .
- Two ways communications with computer and Antenna Tuner were realized using the two CAT ---the machine one and the adapter one .(FT-817 is no such function, only FT-857, FT-897).
- This product is designed for voice communications adapter, can not be directly used in SSTV, PSK31, Echolink other images, data communications.
Use adapter can achieve the following functions:
- External speakers, headphones;. External dynamic microphone, electret microphone.
- Use the adapter that comes with PTT button to transmit an emergency operation.
- PTT socket using an adapter, external PTT switch or foot switch for transmission operations.
- CAT port using an adapter, the machine comes with a total of two CAT were achieved with computer communications, communications and tune day operations (FT-817 is no such function, only FT-857, FT-897).
Machine jumper settings:
- Before setting the machine jumper with a hex wrench open the product distribution of the radio connection side panel to draw the PCB. Note aluminum PTT button not lose.
- MIC MODE: Set external microphone properties. When using the electret microphone, the left short (EC); When using dynamic microphones right shorted (MC).
- PHONE MODE: Set an external headset attributes. When using a mono headset or speakers left short (MONI); When using stereo headphones, the right of short (STEREO).
FT-857, FT897 CAT features hands open end Jimmy methods:
- Press FUNC key to enter the menu mode.
- Rotate the SELECT knob to No.59 menu.
- Rotate the Jog menu mode will switch between NOR / RMT / CAT.
- Adjusted to CAT mode, press FUNC return, setup is complete.
Wiring tips:
- Radio phone adapter to use on the record supporting the 3.5mm cable to connect, in order to ensure your desktop tidy, will be recorded in the middle of the line from the radio through the use of hand-wheat spiral.
