- Arduino UNO R3 is a newly produced easy operation open source controller, doesn't have many changes in hardware compared to Arduino UNO, the biggest differences lie in the USB TO Serial Port circuit part, ATMega 16U2 singlechip is changed. Functions:
- Changes in pins: added I2C pins near the AREF pins(SDA and SCL, is the copy of Analog and 5, not extra I2C port), besides, 2 PINS ared added near RESET, one si IOREF, can adapt expansion board to onboard voltage, this pin shows the value of onboard voltage(for example, UNO is 5V, can be viewed as the copy of power supply pins), another is occupied pins for future use
- More stable RESET circuit, the RESET button postion is changed, and is moved to the board angles near USB interface, convenient to press
- ATmega16U2 replace 8U2, which does not mean R3 with 16K flash will make your code run faster, this updation is served for USB interface chip, it will help UNO analog USB HID in theory, for example MIDI/Joystick/Keyboard
