PAC-12 7-50MHz Shortwave Antenna Outdoor Shortwave Antenna 100W w/ Slide Regulator For Ham Radio

Details:

Note: When using, place metal dome between the two coils. Please not deliberately put on a coil.

The following picture shows the new version of the antenna with sliding regulator coil. New metal dome is added to the original one to increase the strength and make the contact between the metal dome and the coil more reliable.

The new antenna replaces the adjustment screws and plugs on the original jpc-7 and pac-12 with a sliding adjuster, making it easier to adjust the standing wave. Now, just slide the adjustment slider with your finger.

Reference data when using the slider: 14 mega slider is located 6 turns near the side of the rod antenna (the gold mark 0; pulls the lever back about 20cm; 7 mega slider is located 4 turns near the aluminum tube side (silver mark), the lever is retracted back about 10cm.

Note: Because the matching between the hook adjustment screw and the plastic nut is a little tight, gently clamp the screw with pliers before use, and screw the plastic nut back and forth twice on the screw.

The coil bobbin is made by die-cutting. The material is nylon, non-ppr pipe is made by hand. The strength is very high. The coil is now wound with 1.0mm 304 stainless steel wire, which has higher strength and overcomes the deformation of tinned copper wire. The weakness is that all the screws are made of stainless steel screws, and the vibrator aluminum tube is sandblasted and oxidized into black. Note that it is not a simple aluminum rod and two screws. This is an aluminum tube. Even if it is erected horizontally, the sag is very high. Small, not as drooping as an aluminum rod is very serious. The base is oxidized to black, and the custom 2.5 m stainless steel rod antenna is used for higher strength and the communication efficiency is greatly improved.

Antenna Features:
- Light weight, small size and easy to carry
- Can work easily in multiple bands
- Easy and fast to set up. It can be set up in 3 minutes by one person
- Very suitable for field stand, business trip or balcony erection
- The coil bobbin is made by die-cutting. It is made of non-manual car. The material is nylon. The strength is very high. The coil is wound with 1.0mm stainless steel wire.
- All screws are made of stainless steel
- Aluminum tube blasted into black, the base is oxidized to black, very beautiful and graded
- Customized 2.5 m stainless steel rod antenna

Antenna Performance Parameters:
- Weight is about 1.4Kg
- The length of the contraction is about 34.5cm, and the length of the erection is about 410cm.
- Frequency: can work in 8 bands of 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10, 6 meters (7Mhz-50Mhz)
- Impedance: 50Ω
- Withstand Power: 100W
- Standing Wave: 40m band SWR<1.3, other bands can be adjusted to 1.1

Package Included:
- 1 x Aluminum Alloy Base (anodized to black)
- 1 x Multi-band Load Coil (40m - 10m; material: nylon. Note: Load coil is processed by opening mold instead of manual manufacturing)
- 1 x Ground Anchor 10 x 240 mm (not plated to maintain good grounding)
- 4 x Alumina Tubes Black 19 x 320 mm (anode sandblasting oxidation)
- 1 x 2.5 m Stainless Steel Telescopic Antenna (thickness can be customized)
- 1 x 10-strand Ground Wire Cable (tear as needed when using; generally tear 3 strands)
- 1 x Cloth Bag

Note: Feeders and paper instructions are not included in the package.

Precautions:
- 1. Put the connection ring of the ground network directly on the screw of the ground anchor and screw it to the base, then connect base, 4-section aluminum tubes, load coil, and telescopic antenna in order.
- 2. When adjusting standing wave, if there is an antenna analyzer, find the lowest point of standing wave first, and check whether the resonance frequency is high or low. If the resonance frequency is high, it means that the antenna is short. You need to lengthen the antenna or increase the number of coils of the load coil. If the resonance frequency is low, shorten the antenna or reduce the number of turns of the coil. If there is no antenna analyzer, please use the standing wave table that comes with your radio, set it to FM, AM or RTTY mode, reduce transmitting power to about 10W, press transmitting button, adjust radio frequency knob, and look for the minimum point of standing wave in each frequency band. Check the level of resonance frequency, and then use the above method to adjust.
- 3. When the ground net is in use, just tear 3-4 off. Adjusting the angle of the ground network can change the impedance of the antenna.

Reference Data of Sliding Regulator:
- 7 mega slider moves to 4 turns near the side of the aluminum tube. Telescopic rod retracts about 10cm, and the standing wave is 1.1-1.3.
- 14 mega slider is located 6 turns on the side of the rod antenna. The rod is retracted about 20cm, and the standing wave is 1.1-1.3.
- 21.4 when using 4 aluminum tube plus telescopic antenna 7-section + 10cm, standing wave 1.1-1.3.
- 29.6 using telescopic antenna only. All pulled out and retracted about half a section, standing wave 1.2.

Note: The above parameters may vary slightly depending on the environment. Fine-tuning is needed according to the actual situation.
