Description:
- R5 is equipped with a HiFi oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) to provide accurate clock signals for the entire machine. Through the intervention of a 10M clock signal, the clarity and transparency of the sound are greatly improved, and the sound field is wide and precise in positioning.
- Femtosecond level clock: R5 is composed of a SI5340 professional level clock synthesizer, with output jitter as low as femtosecond level 90fs, providing high-quality global synchronous clock signals for the whole machine. The clock performance is far superior to other ps level ordinary clock chips.
- External 10MHz clock: R5 provides one clock input, making it easy to connect your high-quality synchronous clock to improve machine performance. When the machine starts up and detects the connection of an external clock, it automatically switches to the external clock mode. The built-in OCXO will automatically power off to reduce interference. Note: To ensure the normal operation of the machine, please connect an external clock or disconnect the external clock signal while the power is off.
- For Raspberry Pi 5 uses a low precision passive crystal oscillator as the clock signal source, resulting in lower clock signal quality; When applied to R5, the passive crystal oscillator on the original board is removed and replaced with a high-quality and accurate clock signal output by an oven-controlled crystal oscillator. The clock system generates three synchronized low jitter clocks and inputs them to Raspberry Pi 5. The constant temperature crystal oscillator has high precision and stability. Upgrading the clock of Raspberry Pi 5 effectively improves the quality of the bus clock. After upgrading, the sound at both ends is extended and strengthened, transparent and clean, and the details are clear.
- Solid state drive synchronous clock: The R5 music digital turntable is equipped with an M.2NVMe solid state drive interface, but the SSD is not included. Equipped with uV level low-noise linear regulated power supply and synchronous clock, making local playback even better.
- The solid-state drive bus usually uses a low precision passive crystal oscillator as the clock signal source for bus operation. The clock signal quality is low, the accuracy is poor, and it cannot synchronize with the motherboard clock; When R5 is equipped with a solid-state drive, the passive crystal oscillator on the original board is removed, and a clock synchronized with the motherboard system is connected to achieve global synchronization of the clock. The sound at both ends is further enhanced, and the details are clear and natural.
The R5 digital turntable is equipped with Raspberry Pi 5, a new generation kernel, and commonly used playback systems for PiCorePlayer, Volumio, Moode Ropieee, and other software have been tested and proven to be usable. When the R5 digital turntable is shipped, different software systems will be installed according to different versions. If you have different requirements, please contact us before payment.
