Application:

- Wideband amplifier: some wideband amplifiers require bias tee because they do not have DC blocking capacitors inside and require power supply at the output port. While other amplifiers have integrated capacitors internally, eliminating the need for additional biases.
- Fiber optic communication/laser driven: the driving current required for the laser diode is injected through the DC port of the bias tee; communication data is injected through the RF port.

Product Principle:

- The broadband amplifier feeding circuit is affected by parasitic capacitance parameters at high frequencies, resulting in a sharp decline in performance. Therefore, Bias Tee needs to be used for feeding.
- Bias Tee consists of ultra wideband, nearly idealized, high-frequency inductors and capacitors without resonance points.
- DC blocking capacitor: it is used to prevent DC voltage leakage to subsequent circuits or testing instruments.
- High frequency inductance: Isolates AC information and prevents high-frequency signals from leaking into the power supply system.
