Description:
The directional antenna has a very high gain, resulting in a narrow radiation angle in its directional pattern, making it suitable for long-distance communication. For short-range communication, the transmitting and receiving antennas must be precisely aligned; if they deviate from the radiation range, communication will be ineffective. Thus, it is ideal for long-range FPV drones, video transmission, remote control, and FPV goggles.
Antenna Design:
After reviewing antenna manuals and combining practical experience, we opted for a helical winding design. This type of helical antenna inherently features excellent axial ratio performance and operates as a short-range antenna. When wound according to proven formulas from experienced predecessors, the circular polarization axial ratio can remain below 1.5.
Our engineers have made special matching adjustments to the antenna's feed section, specifically fine-tuning the first and second turns of the helix. As a result, the antenna not only delivers a strong radiation pattern and low VSWR but also has an enhanced bandwidth. The VSWR can be as low as 1.15.
