Based on MA12070 solution, BRZHIFI M2 is a high-end digital power amplifier. Based on a fully integrated multi-level high-frequency switch technology scheme, it boasts extremely low consumption and heat generation, and ultra-high conversion efficiency. Fourth-order feedback error control provides better gain, extremely low signal distortion, and excellent audio performance. Even if the power supply is not ideal (noise or ripple), it still guarantees low distortion, high sound quality and stability.

This amplifier uses a multi-stage half-bridge power stage, which is different from the traditional class D amplifier. Each half-bridge power stage of this product has 4 transistors/MOSFETs (traditional class D amplifier only has 2). These half bridges establish multiple PWM output stages through a single power supply (each MOSFET is driven by a separate PWM signal), which brings great flexibility and can configure the amplifier for the best power performance in any application. Capacitor for Cfly located between the top and bottom MOSFETs is continuously powered by an independent circuit, so the voltage potential can be maintained at a fixed level. This capacitor for Cfly basically acts as an additional power rail. In this way, each half-bridge power stage can establish a three-level output signal at the output switching node: 0V, 1/2 PVDD, and PVDD.

The amplifier for MERUS uses a unique power stage topology. Based on this design, each half-bridge can use four MOSFETs (M1-M4) and the capacitor for Cfly located between these MOSFETs as an additional power rail to establish a three-level output signal at the output switching node. In a complete bridge load (BTL) configuration—that is, combining two three-level half-bridges with switching modes, where the switching mode of each half-bridge is phase-shifted by 90° relative to the other—the resulting power level It can provide 5-level modulation mode for differentially connected speaker loads.
