- Please install the radiator before powering on! Otherwise, the graphics card will not be recognized or even burned!
- Please do not connect the CPU cable! It will short-circuit!
About V100 Coil Whine:
- The essence of coil whine is an aging reaction of the inductance and MLCC on the V100 graphics card after long-term operation.
- An integrated inductor is a copper core embedded in iron powder, which produces an inductive effect when subjected to current. Due to the change in current, the copper core undergoes certain deformation, and the frequency of the current resonates, causing sound.
- How does the sound of MLCC come from? The principle is similar to MLCC, which is a multi-layer ceramic capacitor composed of multiple layers of ceramic dielectric and metal electrodes alternately stacked inside. First, the ceramic dielectric film with printed electrodes is staggered and stacked to produce a capacitive effect. During the charging and discharging process, these pressed ceramic dielectrics will also undergo certain deformation, which brings vibration. Similarly, when resonance is formed and a certain frequency is reached, it produces the coil whine we hear.
- At present, most of the V100 are taken down from overseas IDC data centers and have been in service for at least 3 years. During this period, the inductors and MLCCs on them have undergone some degree of aging. From a certain perspective, if you buy a V100 with a loud coil whine sound, it means that its inductors and MLCCs have a relatively high degree of aging.
