Description:
- The AD9959 consists of four direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDS) cores, each of which can provide independent frequency, phase, and amplitude control (i.e. adjustable). Each channel is equipped with an independent high-speed 10 bit DAC, a dedicated 32-bit frequency control word, a 14 bit phase offset, and a 10 bit output proportional multiplier. Can be used to correct imbalances between signals caused by analog processing such as filtering, amplification, or PCB layout mismatches. Due to the fact that all channels share a common system clock, they have inherent synchronization and support synchronization across multiple devices.
- AD9959 can perform up to 16 orders of frequency, phase, or amplitude modulation (FSK, PSK, ASK). Modulation can be performed by applying data to the mode pin. In addition, AD9959 also supports linear frequency, amplitude, or phase scanning suitable for applications such as radar and instrumentation.
