Description:
D100 9038Q2M DAC is an entry-level DSD decoder.
Although the D100 uses an integrated 9038q2m decoding board, unlike off-the-shelf solutions, it does not employ the operational amplifier chips commonly used by other manufacturers for gain amplification. Instead, Engineer Zhou has custom-designed a pre-amplifier circuit to replace the op-amp specifically for the D100. At its core, this design uses traditional RC cascading to implement the LPF (Low-Pass Filter), and combines an LCR filter network with a discrete pre-amplifier for amplification, replacing common op-amp chips such as the NE5532 and 1612. This reduces transient distortion and various defects caused by high gain and heavy negative feedback in transistor op-amps, while CRC filtering is used in the power supply for the discrete pre-amplifier. The overall power supply employs a transformer with voltage doubler rectification for the digital section. All of this is proprietary technology developed by Engineer Zhou, built on over two decades of technical experience.
The addition of the pre-amplifier section makes the D100 decoder more sensitive, with significantly improved retrieval of musical details. This translates to enhancements in sound quality, soundstage, dynamics, and musicality in listening experience, freeing the device from the dry, cold, thin, and harsh "digital sound" common to many 9038-based decoders, and making music sound more engaging and pleasant to the ear.
