Introduction:
- 96 channel, 5V, TTL/CMOS, 24mA, USB digital I/O device. USB-6509 is a bus powered industrial USB device that can directly drive external digital devices such as solid-state relays (SSRs). Each port can be configured as an input or output, and the output does not require an external power supply. The programmable power on state function allows users to configure the initial output state using software to ensure barrier free and safe operation when connected to industrial actuators. If a computer or application fails, USB-6509 can use a digital I/O watchdog to switch to a configurable safe output state to detect fault conditions and perform safe recovery. Programmable input filters can eliminate burrs/spikes and provide debounce for digital switches/relays through software selectable digital filters.
