DC500 CapDMA High Refresh Rate HDMI-compatible DAM Video Overlay Box Support for 1K540Hz/2K355Hz/4K158Hz
Features:
- Supports up to 1K540Hz/2K355Hz/4K158Hz, backward compatible refresh rate, and supports HDMI-compatible 2.1 and DP1.4 interfaces.
- 4K overlay device, original image quality output.
- Supported refresh rates and resolutions, fully supporting high refresh rate and high resolution displays, with stronger performance. 4K158Hz 3840*2160P; 2K355Hz 2560*1440P; 1K540Hz 1920*1080P; The refresh rate of displays with the same resolution can be backward compatible.
- The native colors are uncompressed: both the upper and lower layers of the overlay device have native colors without compression.
- The frame rates are all actual visual frame rates, not false frame rates.
- Rich and diverse interfaces: 3 HDMI-compatible 2.1 + 3 DP1.4 interfaces.
- HDMI-compatible 2.1 theoretically supports for 1K600Hz, 2K360Hz, and 4K160Hz without DSC compression (we have currently achieved 1K540, 2K355, and 4K158)
- DP1.4 interface (we have currently achieved 1K480, 2K320, 4K144)
- For NVIDIA graphics card 30 series and 40 series will force DSC if the frequency exceeds a certain limit, supporting up to 1K480, 2K320, and 4K144.
- For NVIDIA graphics card 50 series and AMD 6000 series, 7000 series, 9000 series support up to 1K540, 2K355, 4K158.
Dual Interface Upgrade · HDMI-compatible 2.1 + DP 1.4 · Ultra-High Frame Rate Fusing Solution:
- The DC500 4K Fuser is a high-performance video fusing device integrating both HDMI-compatible 2.1 and DP 1.4 interfaces. It has been updated with new firmware that supports over 95% of current displays with HDMI-compatible 2.1 and DP 1.4 interfaces. This upgrade delivers enhanced stability, broader compatibility, and superior high-frame-rate output with native image quality.
Firmware Update Compatibility:
- Units of the DC500 Fuser shipped before April 22, 2025, come with the older firmware version. Users of these early batches can freely upgrade to the latest firmware, which resolves most known bugs. If your device is working properly, updating is optional—you can upgrade anytime in the future.
Hardware and Build Quality:
- PCB board material is on par with RTX 4090-class components, ensuring top-tier electrical performance and long-term stability.
- Equipped with original imported chips for XILINX FPGA, offering excellent image processing capability.
- Both top and bottom layers of the fused video are output at full native resolution with no compression.
- In DP mode, although some ultra-high refresh rates run at 6-bit depth due to protocol limitations, our proprietary image processing ensures a visual output indistinguishable from 8-bit.
- Dual-interface output is visually sharp and smooth, with true, unaltered frame rates.
HDMI-compatible 2.1 Version Specifications:
- Supported Resolutions & Refresh Rates: 1920 x 1080P at 540Hz; 2560 x 1440P at 355Hz; 3840 x 2160P at 158Hz; fully backward compatible; supports ultra-wide monitors.
- GPU Recommendations:
For Nvidia GTX 3060 or AMD RX 6500XT
Monitor must support full-bandwidth HDMI-compatible 2.1 FRL (48Gbps)
Recommended secondary PC CPU: 6 threads or higher
DP 1.4 Version Specifications:
- Supported Resolutions & Refresh Rates: 1920 x 1080P at 480Hz; 2560 x 1440P at 320Hz; 3840 x 2160P at 160Hz; backward compatible with lower refresh rates; ultra-wide supported.
- GPU Requirements:
Both host and secondary PCs must have 10 series or newer for Nvidia, or for AMD RX500 series or newer GPUs.
Secondary PC CPU: Recommended minimum of 6 threads
Extreme Performance Benchmarks:
- DC500 has been successfully tested to support: 4K at 144Hz; 2K at 300Hz; 1080P at 480Hz
- With 6000 series or newer GPUs for AMD, the fuser can reach: 4K at 160Hz; 2K at 360Hz; 1080P at 600Hz (Note: For Nvidia cards are limited by enforced DSC compression protocols, which may prevent reaching maximum refresh rates. This is a GPU-side restriction, not a fuser issue.)
Package Included:
- 1 x DMA Video Overlay Box
FAQ:
Q1: Does the DC500 support 3440x1440 ultra-wide monitors? Has anyone tested it?
A1: Yep, according to the specs, the DC500 supports 3440x1440 at 100Hz over HDMI-compatible, which is good enough for most people. Most users are using a 3440x1440 ultra-wide myself, locked it to 100Hz, and it works fine—no compatibility issues so far. Still, I’d recommend checking with technical expert just to be safe.
Q2: Does the DC500 support HDMI-compatible 2.1, or is it only DP 1.4?
A2: It supports HDMI-compatible 2.1, but a lot of people still use DP 1.4 depending on what their monitor supports. If your monitor only has HDMI-compatible 2.0, the DC500 works well with HDMI-compatible. Just keep in mind, with DP 1.4, you might be limited to 6-bit color in some modes compared to standard 8-bit on HDMI-compatible. Whether you can actually notice the difference is debatable though.
