Description:
The straight probe is a single-crystal probe used for vertical flaw detection, which is mainly used for longitudinal wave flaw detection. The straight probe is composed of a socket, a shell, a protective film, a piezoelectric crystal, a sound-absorbing material, etc. More details:
• The transmission/reception of ultrasonic waves is done by the piezoelectric crystal;
• The protective film is made of corundum sheets with high hardness, which are wear-resistant;
• Sound absorption materials are used to absorb noise from the back of the crystal;
• The socket is an electrical signal interface and is connected to the instrument via a probe cable.

The ultrasonic wave generated by the straight probe is a longitudinal beam perpendicular to the probe surface. Straight probe is widely used. Typical uses include forgings, castings, bars, plates, shafts, etc.
