Changes from THP2 to THP3 (THP-3):
* The power transformer of the THP3 (THP-3) has been upgraded from the toroidal transformer used in the THP2 to an E-core transformer. 
* The voltage amplifier tube has also been changed from the 6N4 to the 6N3, which increases current output while moderately reducing power consumption. These adjustments result in a richer, fuller sound, a wider soundstage, and improved high-frequency control. 
* For noise reduction, two choke coils have been implemented along with numerous circuit optimizations, significantly reducing thermal noise and delivering a cleaner power supply that further enhances audio performance. 
* The THP3's integrated design shortens internal signal paths, minimizing signal loss and yielding a more focused, substantial sound. 
* The headphone jacks have been updated to two 6.35mm connectors: a low-impedance jack for headphones with impedance between 30-100 ohms, and a high-impedance jack for models ranging from 100 ohms up to approximately 600 ohms. The impedance switch from the THP2 has been removed, improving overall unit stability. A channel balance adjustment knob has been added to the rear panel, allowing users to easily correct for any channel imbalance.

The overall sound of the THP3 is delicate and transparent, with good body and strong control over high and low frequencies. Compared with the THP2, it is gentler and easier to listen to, with wider headphone compatibility. For example, when driving the HIFIMAN HE6SE, which has a relatively thin tonal base and strong resolution, some tracks may sound bright or harsh with the THP2, whereas pairing with the THP3 noticeably improves this. The THP3 controls the high frequencies further, increasing the HE6SE's listening comfort. In addition, the THP3 has a thicker tonal base and a wider soundstage. When listening to classical music, the HE6SE feels more immersive, with more precise imaging and warmer tonal color.

Among them, the HE5SE and HE6SE are slightly more stimulating than the Ananda, suitable for audiophiles who pursue fast speed and high transient response.
