Description:
ADAU1401 is a complete single-chip audio system with built-in 28/56-bit audio DSP, ADC, DAC and similar microcontroller control interfaces. Signal processing techniques include equalization, crossover, bass enhancement, multi-band dynamic processing, delay compensation, speaker compensation and stereo image widening, which can be used to compensate for the actual limitations of speakers, power amplifiers, and listening environments, thereby significantly improving sound quality experience.

This signal processing technology is comparable to that used in high-end studio equipment. Most of the processing is done in a fully 56-bit double-precision mode, so low-level signal performance is excellent. ADAU1401 is a fully programmable DSP. With easy-to-use software for SigmaStudio, users can use modules such as biquad filter, dynamic processor, level control, and GPIO interface control to configure custom signal processing procedures in a graphical manner.

ADAU1401 program can be loaded from serial EEPROM through its self-booting mechanism at power-up, or from an external microcontroller. When shutting down, the current state of parameters can be written back to EEPROM from ADAU1401, so that it can be recalled when the program is run next time.

Two ADCs and four DACs provide 98.5 dB of analog input to analog output dynamic range. Utilize digital input and output ports, can realize seamless connection with other ADCs and DACs. The ADAU1401 communicates via the I2C bus or four-wire SPI port.

Uses:
- This version is suitable for ADAU1401/1701 learning and product use. Compared with ADAU1701, ADAU1401 can work stably in the harsh working environment of -40℃ to 105℃ (ADAU1701 is generally applicable under 0℃ to 70℃). The procedures are universal, and other indicators are the same. With power-on self-start, it can run independently from MCU. Leads out all function ports, can expand digital I2S input and output/key function/LED drive/auxiliary ADC (potentiometer analog)/encoder volume adjustment.
- Provide schematic diagrams and many usage routines. By default, a feedback suppression (howling buster) demonstration function is pre-cured and can be replaced with its own function at any time.

USBi Emulator:
