FM Transceiver Tester Comprehensive Signal Generator For VHF UHF Radio Handheld Transceiver

I. Transmitting Measurement:

1. Frequency measurement 10M~900M, Resolution 1K or 0.1K
2. Power measurement 0.1W~64W
3. Sub-audio measurement 50HZ~260HZ analog sub-tone and standard digital subtone

II. Receiving Measurement:

1. RF signal generator 1MHz-470MHz
2. Output level: -132dBm to -90dBm
3. Single tone modulation: 1KHz 2KHz 3KHz optional, output modulation: 3K
4. Subtone output: 50Hz-260Hz analog subtone and standard digital subtone, output amplitude: 0.5K

III. Repeater Test:

It is specially developed for debugging and measuring U / V repeaters and FM radios. The signal generator can work in duplex mode, even if the machine under test is placed in the transmitting state without affecting the generator's operation, it can be used for measurement in the repeater state of the repeater.

Parameters:
- Working voltage: 8-12V DC (DC)
- Working current: 200mA
- Randomly without power supply, without test lead, and without paper manual. For specific operation method, please refer to the website introduction.
- Net weight: 400grams
- Dimensions: 160 * 160 * 65mm ( including protrusions )

Package Included:
- 1 x Set of FM Walkie Talkie Tester

Intercom Comprehensive Test Instructions:

Signal Source Mode:
First line left frequency (0.5-470M),  right output power (-90 to -131dBm)
The second line is the left subtone (50.0-280.0Hz any analog subtone and 105 digital subtones). The right modulation tone (1-3K) shows the input power in the lower right corner.

Numeric keys: Enter directly for the cursor pointing to the item
Up and down keys: step to adjust the cursor to the item value
F1 key: cursor moves (long press to switch to frequency meter mode)
F2 key: Backspace key
F3 key: The function key is a circular switch function when the cursor points to the output power, subtone, and modulation tone. For example, the function of the key is a circular switch signal output when the cursor points to power output.
F4 key: Not used

Analog subtone setting : directly input 4 digits of subtone points , not enough 4 digits before "0". Example88.5Hz input 0, 8, 8, 5

Now if you use the up and down keys to adjust in 0.1Hz steps, if you need to adjust the standard 50 groups of subtones , you must enter 0, 0, 0, 0 and then use the up and down keys to adjust from the first standard subtone 67Hz,

Digital subtone setting: Enter a 3 -digit subtone code and press F3. Example 023: Enter 0, 2, 3, and then press F3. The setting is successful. Press the F2 key to switch between digital subtones I and N. Adjust up and down The key will add or subtract 105 sets of digital tones.
Entering a value of 0 for modulation and subtones is equivalent to turning off.

Step frequency setting: When the cursor points to the frequency, press and hold F3 to save the currently displayed frequency as the step frequency.

Frequency Meter Mode:
First line left frequency , right measurement mode AUTO / MANUA (in order to measure the radio tone of the radio or repeater at the same time, please select the AUTO mode)

The second line on the left is the sub-audio right frequency resolution ( 1K / 0.1K ) (in order to test the frequency drift of the radio frequency of the radio or repeater, you can choose 0.1k to be more accurate). The   lower right corner shows the input power.

Number keys: Not used
Up and down keys: not used
F1 key: long press to switch to signal source mode
F2 key: Not used
F3 key: Frequency meter resolution switch 1K / 0.1K
F4 key: When the measurement mode is switched between AUTO / MANUA AUTO , it automatically locks and detects the sub-tones after the stable frequency is detected and displays the result until the signal disappears. After the signal disappears, it continues to detect and wait for a new stable frequency. (You can detect the standard and non-standard analog subtones emitted by the radio station yourself. If the radio station emits digital subtones, only the standard digital subtones can be detected, and the non-standard digital subtones cannot be detected.)

In the case of MANUA, the update frequency is detected in real time by a conventional frequency meter.

Note: At any time, as long as there is power input, the input power is displayed in the lower right corner.

After calibration of HP8921A radio comprehensive tester, we know:
1. Frequency accuracy is within 50Hz deviation
2. The output signal strength of V segment is equivalent to HP8921A
3. The output signal strength of U segment is 4 dbm greater than that of HP8921A (when weak signals are output, such as when the instrument displays -125dbm, the actual value is -121dbm), and when strong signals are output, it is the same as HP8921A (such as -90dbm)
4. Signal output audio modulation is 3K
5. The subtone modulation in the signal output is 0.5K
6. The minimum power input required for the frequency meter function is 1mw (external antenna, 1w radio can be measured at short range)
7. The power meter 0.2w above with HP8921A equivalent is less than 0.2 and w is greater than the actual value display value of about 20% (estimated to be 4 reason of the rounded 5).
8. When the test power exceeds 5w, please appropriately shorten the test time to avoid high-power long-term testing, because the heat sink inside is limited in volume to avoid overheating. If high-power long-term testing is really needed, increase the heat sink area and add a fan to force cooling.
