Description:
The antenna consists of a 1:49 or 1:64 impedance transformer and a radiator of approximately 20 or 40.7 meters, forming a four-band or eight-band end-fed shortwave antenna, respectively. It is a multi-band, multi-directional antenna.

Since it is end-fed, the setup is very convenient, simple, quick, and offers good concealment, making it difficult to detect. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for urban installations, field deployments, and similar scenarios.

Reasons to Choose the Antenna:
* Installing an antenna in the city is not easy. This antenna is very easy to install.
* It offers minimal gain but performs better than a dipole antenna in its primary radiation direction.
* It does not exhibit strong directivity at short distances.
* It supports rapid deployment for mobile emergency communication.
* This long-wire antenna has a simple structure, low cost, and moderate gain. Compared to Yagi antennas and reverse-polarity periodic antennas, it has lower directional gain along its length. However, its advantage lies in the fact that its gain is related to the wire length, allowing users to find a suitable wire length and angle for reception. By comparing the signal wavelength and calculating the wire length, it is very suitable for long-distance communication. Installation Requirements:
* This antenna is designed for direct tension installation. The tension does not need to be very high; a slight sagging curve is acceptable. This antenna is multi-directional, so when installing, simply choose an open and unobstructed area without paying much attention to its directionality. Both ends of the antenna must use non-metallic ropes; metal steel wire ropes cannot be used, as they will affect the antenna's parameters. Along the entire length of the antenna, the distance to obstacles (including walls, trees, leaves, and non-metallic objects) must be greater than 3 meters. If there are metal objects nearby (such as power lines, windows, or metal railings), the antenna must be kept at least 5 meters away from such obstacles to achieve optimal performance. The installation height should be as high as possible. The antenna can be installed with a straight pull, vertical pull, or at an angle. The supplied guy rope is expected to last about 5 years; however, it is recommended to inspect it every 6 months and replace it promptly if any damage or abnormalities are detected.
* If the installation environment affects the resonant frequency, users can fine-tune by adjusting the folded-back length of the structure at the antenna's end. Trimming is not recommended.

About Power:
* Because this antenna uses a high-ratio impedance transformer, it generates considerable heat. It can be operated at rated power when the ambient temperature is below 18°C. If the temperature exceeds 18°C, and a rising standing wave ratio (SWR) is observed during use, the transmit power should be reduced accordingly.

About Counterpoise:
Generally, an end-fed antenna does not require a counterpoise when used for SSB. However, if data modes such as FT8 or FT4 cause interference to other equipment, an external counterpoise can be used. Simply connect a 1-2meter (3.3-6.6ft) single-strand wire to the transformer's ground terminal and let it hang freely—no direct grounding is needed. Installing a counterpoise may shift resonant points, requiring adjustment of the radiator length with an antenna analyzer. If necessary, shortening the counterpoise length can reduce resonant point shifts, achieving a balanced solution.
