OASIS OAG M48 Kit Off-axis Guider Compatible with Astroasis/Player One/QHYCCD/Touptek/ZWO Filter Wheels

Configurable Thickness 16.5/17.0/17.5mm:

- The Oasis OAG body has a thickness of 12mm. With three different thicknesses of threaded couplings, 4.5/5.0/5.5mm, it can achieve a total thickness of 16.5/17.0/17.5mm, which is beneficial for meeting the requirements of different equipment's rear intercept combinations.
- There are a total of three sets of threaded couplings used to connect telescopes, each with M68x1, M54x0.75, and M48x0.75 internal threads. Each group has 3 connecting rings with thicknesses of 4.5, 5.0, and 5.5mm. The OAG kit comes with a set of threaded connecting rings, and the thread specifications can be specified as either M68, M54, or M48.

The position of the prism can be precisely adjusted by the double helix focusing seat:
- The most unique and magical feature of Oasis OAG is that the dual helix focusing device can not only be used for star guiding camera focusing, but also for precise adjustment of prism position. We know that most star guiding cameras have an M28.5x0.6 internal thread at the front end. The front end of the prism mounting column of Oasis OAG is designed with an M28.5x0.6 external thread, which cleverly realizes the function of adjusting the prism position using a double helix focusing seat. The usage method is as follows:
1. Screw the front thread of the star guiding camera onto the front thread of the OAG prism column
2. Loosen the fixing screw of the prism column and tighten the fixing screw of the star guide camera on the double helix focusing base
3. Rotate the dial on the double helix focusing seat to raise or lower the prism position
4. After adjusting the prism to the appropriate position, tighten the prism column with screws and loosen the threaded connection between the star guide camera and the prism column

- When the dial on the double helix focusing seat is rotated, the position of the guiding star camera is adjusted, thereby driving the prism column and prism position to be adjusted together.
- The focusing stroke of the double helix focusing seat is 6mm, and rotating the dial once is exactly 6mm focusing stroke. There are six large scales on the dial: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Therefore, every time the dial rotates through one large scale, the position of the prism column is adjusted by 1mm. There are 20 small scales between each large scale, so each small scale has an adjustment accuracy of 0.05mm.
- When starting to adjust, adjust the focusing stroke of the double helix focusing seat to the minimum. Insert the prism column into the bottom end, and the distance between the front end of the prism and the center of the optical axis is 8mm. When adjusting, the position of the prism can be accurately calculated based on the scale rotated by the dial.
- This adjustment method allows OAG to be freely adjusted and accurately determine the position of the prism even when assembled with filter wheels, cameras, and other devices on the telescope without disassembling these devices, even at night. This brings great convenience to enthusiasts. The circular structure at the front end of the prism column can also prevent the prism column from accidentally falling when the locking screw of the prism column is loosened.

Compatible with multiple brands of filter wheels:
- Oasis OAG has designed multiple screw hole positions that are compatible with connecting Astroasis, Player One, and more QHYCCD, Touptek and ZWO filter wheel.

Shading:
- A concave area is designed on the threaded joint ring, so light shielding and sealing can be achieved between the threaded joint ring and the OAG body by using an O-ring.

- The screw through-hole connected to the filter wheel on the OAG body has threads on its reverse side. When these through holes are not in use, they can be plugged with a top wire to prevent light leakage.

- The matching 5mm extension ring has grooves on both sides, which can be used to achieve light shielding between it and the OAG body and filter wheel by using O-rings.

Matching with Astroais 7x2 inch filter wheel:
- When used in conjunction with the Astroais 7x2 inch filter wheel, OAG can precisely avoid the locking screws on the upper and lower shells of the filter wheel. Therefore, when it is necessary to disassemble the filter wheel to install, remove, or clean the filter, there is no need to disconnect the connection between the OAG and the upper shell of the filter wheel, which brings convenience to use.

The screws connecting the filter wheel are easy to choose:
- The screws connecting the filter wheel on the OAG body can use cylindrical head, flat head, or pan head screws instead of countersunk head screws. Therefore, when it is necessary to fine tune the depth of the screw into the filter wheel housing, a screw washer can be used to achieve this. This makes the selection of screw length easier.
