- PF5.5mm belongs to the high-magnification eyepiece in the PF series, and in most cases, it can be observed at medium to high magnification in medium and short focus telescopes. When observation conditions permit and the atmosphere is stable, it can also be used for telephoto telescopes. It adopts a 6-piece 4-group structure, with a 16mm exit pupil distance and a 60 degree apparent field of view. It adopts a cup shaped foldable eye cover, making it easy to find a comfortable observation position even when wearing glasses.
- Due to its focal length of 5.5mm, it belongs to the high-magnification eyepiece, and its visibility will limit its performance on telephoto telescopes. For example, when used with 102APO PRO, the magnification is 129 times and the exit pupil diameter is 0.79mm. For experienced observers, both are precisely within the limits of maximum magnification and minimum pupil size, so PF5.5mm can be used for observation under good visibility conditions. When the visibility is not ideal, the magnification of PF5.5mm combined with a telephoto telescope may be too high.
