FAQ:
1. Briefly introduce the HamGeek B205Mini and TinyB210 products, and what are the differences between them?
Answer:
A. HamGeek B205Mini is Single-Input Single-Output (1R1T), while TinyB210 is Dual-Input Dual-Output (2R2T).
B. The B205Mini transmitter is equipped with a Power Amplifier (PA), whereas the TinyB210 does not include an RF amplifier (the benefit is very low noise floor and high channel isolation).
C. Both B205Mini and TinyB210 feature External Clock (EXT_CLK) input and PPS input. The TinyB210 also includes a GPS module and implements a built-in GPSDO.
D. Both the B205Mini and TinyB210 have built-in firmware, making them plug-and-play without the need for tedious file replacement.
2. Is there support for GNURADIO and other applications such as SRSRAN and OAI?
Answer: Fully supported, used exactly the same as official compatible models.
3. What are the trade-offs of adding or not adding an RF Power Amplifier (PA) to the TinyB210?
Answer: Official boards for ADI, such as FMCOMMS2, 3, 5, etc., do not come with PAs. A typical input power of a few dBm is sufficient for RF experiments. We do have products with PAs, such as the SDRPi; however, during full-duplex transmission and reception, it has a significant impact on the receiving end.
