Spektrum DX9 DSMX 2.4G 9 Channel Remote Control Transmitter for RC Hobby

The DX9 has a number of features that make this the transmitter to own in the 9 channel class. Key among these is voice alerts, wireless trainer function, and the comfort and ease of programming only Spektrum can provide. The easy to program but highly capable airware software system makes complicated setups simple and encourages people to do more with their hobby. Telemetry will become more useful and meaningful with the voice alerts in the DX9, and for a fully integrated voice feedback system Spektrum offers a full suite of advanced telemetry sensors.

Voice Alert System:
While the DX9 possesses a number of class-leading features, the centerpiece is it's incredibly advanced voice alert system. In fact, with it's lexicon of over 300 words, numbers and phrases, it's quite possibly the most advanced system of its kind ever seen (or heard) in a handheld, 9-channel transmitter. For instance, you can program the DX9 to call out what flight mode has been chosen when switching from one to another. It can also be programmed to call out specific values for voltage, temps, or any other critical telemetry info, on demand. If an alarm goes off, the pilot won't have to look at the display to see what's happening.

Forward Programming:
This innovative software feature will equip you for a new generation of Spektrum components that can be programmed directly through the DX9. This, along with regular Spektrum AirWare software updates, will ensure the DX9 remain as cutting-edge tomorrow as it is today.

Telemetry Functions:
The DX9 is equipped with a built-in telemetry feature that gives you real-time information on things like your model's battery voltage, signal quality, engine or motor temperature, airspeed, altitude and more. Using the voice alert system, you can have the DX9 call out specific telemetry values that reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have the DX9 call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch. If you want to review telemetry after a flight, the DX9 can be set up to record the data to its SD card.

The DX9 will also allow you to switch between Mode 1, 2, 3 and 4 stick configurations without ever having to open the transmitter. You will also enjoy the built-in telemetry and the convenience of an SD card slot that makes it possible to store telemetry data, expand model memory, make updates and share setups with other DX9 users.

Specifications and Features:
- 9 fully-proportional channels. User-configurable switch and stick assignment
- 7 point curves give the ability to fine tune model setups and precisely adjust all mixes and pitch/throttle curves
- Wireless trainer system with model match. Instructors can work with multiple students without having to re-bind
- Direct system menu access-it is not necessary to power off the transmitter to access the key system menu
- Pre-programmed servo setups for nearly every type of wing, tail and swash plate imaginable
- Virtually unlimited model memory, stores up to 250 models and only populates with models that are configured
- User mode selectable (1-4), comes in Mode 2 configuration
- Helicopter electronic "E Ring" electronically prevents overdriving the cyclic servos
- Binds with any DSM2 or DSMX aircraft receiver
- SD card support for backing up files, BNF setups, and firmware updates

Interface
Staying up to date with the latest version of Spektrum AirWare is easy with the Spektrum Data Interface (SDI). Just download updates to a standard SD card and upload them to your transmitter via the SDI. You can also use the SDI to upload setups for specific models from the Spektrum Community site, share setups with other DX9 owners or store extra model memory. An SD card is included so you can start taking advantage of this handy feature right away.
SimpleScroll Programming Interface
The intuitive SimpleScroll interface makes navigating menus and changing settings as simple as roll and click. Its almost like using a mouse.
No-Slip Comfort Grips
Soft, no-slip rubber grips on the back and sides of the transmitter case naturally conform to your hands and make long flights much more comfortable.
Durable Dual Diversity Antenna
The DX9 is the first Spektrum transmitter with a Dual Diversity antenna. Essentially two antennas in one, it consists of vertical and horizontal arrays mounted perpendicular to each other for superior protection from signal fades. The horizontal array is housed in the durable carrying grip on the back.
Smart Charge Global Charging System
Spektrum was the first to make frequency conflicts and interference a thing of the past. With the DX8's new Smart Charge global charging system, Spektrum is first to make charging hassles a thing of the past, too. This ingenious on-board charging system can be powered by any 12V power supply with a standard 4mm plug. That includes 12V power supplies from other radio manufacturers and those that come with many household electronics. Smart Charge even detects the chemistry of the transmitter batteries you're using (LiPo or Ni-MH) and automatically adjusts the charge current, rate and cutoff.
