- 1 x Storage Bag
Note:
- Antennas are metal conductors. Please stay away from unsafe locations such as high-voltage cables. If it is necessary to operate this equipment during thunderstorms, please take appropriate lightning protection measures to avoid harm to personnel and equipment. But we suggest that you completely remove the antenna and do not use it in thunderstorm weather.
Installation Instruction:
- Insert the "ground nail and pre-installed antenna base" almost completely into the ground. The deeper the insertion, the better the effects, but the antenna base must always be higher than the ground.
- Install the "tuning coil" onto the "grounding pin with pre-installed antenna base". For frequencies above 18 MHz (17m), please skip this step or move the slider of the "tuning coil" to the top.
- Install two "main connecting rods" on top of the "tuning coil". The extension rod can extend the length of the "rod antenna".
- Finally, install the "rod antenna" on the structure.
- Use a banana plug to connect the three accompanying "ground cables" to the three holes on the grounding pin with a pre-installed antenna base. In portable situations, the wires should be evenly distributed around the antenna base as much as possible.
- At this point, the initial construction of your antenna is complete.
- Now, connect the antenna analyzer (such as NanoVNA, not included) to the antenna base using a suitable length of 50ohm coaxial cable and adjust the antenna to achieve optimal SWR at the desired frequency.
- For frequencies below 18MHz, pull the "rod antenna" to its maximum length and use a "tuning coil" for tuning to achieve optimal SWR.
- For frequencies above 18MHz, either remove the 'tuning coil' or move its slider to the top. Adjust the length of the 'rod antenna' to achieve optimal SWR at the desired frequency.
