1525-1660MHz RTL-SDR Blog L Band Active Amplification Receiving Antenna Kit RHCP I Band Satellite Receiving

Description:

- This antenna is designed to receive RHCP I-band satellites such as Inmarsat, Iridium, GPS, and other satellites transmitting between 1525-1660 MHz (please note that you cannot use it for weak signals that require dish antennas like HRPT or GOES). The antenna is a set of large suction cups, 3M RG174 extension cables, and a flexible tripod to assist with installation.

- This is an active amplification antenna as it includes a built-in low-noise amplifier that obtains power from a 3.3-5V bias tee. This feature can be obtained from our RTL-SDR Blog V3 receiver as well as other SDRs (for Airspy, HackRF, and SDRplay). It also has a built-in acoustic filter behind the LNA to help reduce ground interference.

- The new patch is larger (175 x 175 mm), with higher gain and wider radiation pattern, which makes it easier for the antenna to point and provide stronger signals. The higher frequency range has also been extended from 1625MHz to 1660MHz. The suction cup is also much larger, allowing the SMT points to be placed at more angles without being limited by the window. The patch is enclosed in a new weather resistant plastic shell.

Package Included:

- 1 x Receiving Antenna Kit
