470MHz-520MHz Signal Booster Amplifier Signal Amplifier 2-Way SMA Female Connector XQ-470 Demo Board

Introduction:

- XQ-470's amplification band is: 470MHz-520MHz.
- TDD working mode with two-way amplification, that is, the transmitting power and receiving sensitivity will be equally amplified.
- Working voltage of DEMO (bare board) is 3.3V-4.2V.
- This product is more professional. Wireless is greatly affected by the environment. We only guarantee that all parameters are measured data of by instruments. Please make sure that it meets your needs before purchasing.
- If you want to adjust the parameters and get the module worked in any frequency band between 300MHz-960MHz, such as 300MHz-380MHz, 470MHz-520MHz, 820MHz-900MHz and so on. If you have such special needs, please consult customer service before purchasing. Thank you!

Features:
- Built-in intelligent transceiver discrimination circuit. The original equipment does not need to send and receive switching control signals, and the module can automatically switch the working state.
- When the module works in the receiving state by default, it amplifies received signals. When it is detected that the original device starts transmitting signals to the outside, it will automatically switch to the transmitting state instantly and amplify the transmitting signals.
- Transmitting gain is adjustable. Easily compatible with various wireless devices with different transmitting power.
- Extremely high isolation of transceiver links. The receiving link can withstand strong external interference without causing loop self-excitation.
- Fully compatible with various transmission (modulation) modes such as LORA and FSK / ASK / OOK / MSK / GFSK.

Specifications:
- Operating Frequency Band: 470MHz-520MHz
- Receiver Gain: 13dB±2dB
- Receiving Noise Figure: ≤2.5dB
- Transmitting Gain: 10dB-20dB (±2dB) adjustable
- Transceiver Switching Threshold: -2dBm
- Input Power Range: 3dBm-20dBm
- Maximum Transmitting Power: 33dBm (2w)
- Working Status Indicators:
* Receiving: Green light is on and blue light is off
* Transmitting: Blue light is on and green light is off
* Normal TDD Working Mode: Blue and green lights will flash alternately
- Working Voltage: 3.3V-4.2V. If it is powered by DC-DC or LDO, the best power supply voltage is 3.8V
- Average Working Current: ≤300mA
- Dimensions: 38.2 x 26.2 x 4.5mm (LxWxH)

Package Included:
- 1 x XQ-470 Board

Note:
- It can also be powered by lithium battery which is not included in the package.
- During operation, most of the timing of this module is in the receiving state. The working current in the receiving state is low, about 25mA. When the module is switched to the transmitting state, the instantaneous current may be as high as 1200mA, and the transmitting timing is generally very short. Each group of data packets is often ms or even us. Therefore, the average current is generally not higher than 300mA during the entire working time period.

Waring:
This module is not recommended for applications that require constant emission (ie, constant blue light). If it is necessary to work in the constant transmission mode and the transmission power is high (close to 2w), the current will be large and the heat will be very serious. At this time, it is necessary to add heat dissipation devices, such as heat sinks or small fans. Otherwise, the maximum transmission power will be automatically reduced due to overheating, and there is a risk of burning the amplifier chip.

How to Adjust Transmission Gain?
When your original equipment transmit power is not higher than 10dBm, the transmit gain can be adjusted between 13dB-20dB. When the potentiometer is turned counterclockwise to the end, the gain is 13dB. When the potentiometer is turned clockwise to the end, the gain is 20dB.

If the transmission power of your original equipment is lower than 3dBm, the original equipment may not work normally after connecting this module. When the transmission power of original equipment is not higher than 10dBm, to ensure the best transmission distance, please adjust the transmission gain to the maximum.

When original equipment transmitting power is between 20dBm-23dBm (that is, between 100mw-200mw), the gain of the potentiometer is 10dB when it is turned counterclockwise to the end. For the application of this kind of equipment, it is generally recommended to adjust the potentiometer counterclockwise to the end, and the minimum gain is 10dB.

For experienced users, the potentiometer can be rotated slightly clockwise according to the actual transmission effect. The gain is slightly higher than 10dB for compensating the loss of the conversion line. The gain cannot be adjusted too large, because if the transmission gain is adjusted too large, the signal is prone to saturation distortion (maximum transmit power 33dBm).
