Principle of Tube Amp Protection:
When the power amplifier is about to switch to another power amplifier, connect a fake load to the tube amp through another switch (the switch in the middle of this unit), and then leave. This machine chooses 8Ω load to better match the impedance of the output transformer and reduce the reflection of the primary of the output voltage transformer to the tube.

In fact, connecting a resistor of several hundred ohms to 1K/3W can also achieve the effect of protection. It can be directly connected to the output end of the tube amp in parallel, which can save the cost of the switch and heat sink. Some fans and even businesses do this. Still, impedance mismatches are detrimental to components.

Not all tube amplifiers cannot be run without load, consult the manufacturer of amplifiers for details. In the case of uncertainty, it is recommended that users add a dummy load.

Description:
With this amplifier speaker switcher, two dual-channel power amplifiers and two pairs of speakers can be connected and switched.

All two-to-two models are ground wire synchronous switching!

The selector adopts pure aluminum wire drawing shell. Its front and rear panels are marked by laser for use and wiring. 2.5 square single crystal copper silver plated wires are used. It has past professional tests before shipment. There is a dummy load for the version with tube amp protection. After more than 1 hour of full power aging test of 10W small power amplifier, the resistor of the dummy load aluminum shell is still stable and reliable.

Key Points for Use:
1. Tube amplifiers can be connected to any group of amplifier input columns of the switcher with tube amp protection. Users who have two transistor power amplifiers should not choose a model with tube amp protection. If two tube power amplifiers are used, users should pay special attention: the power amps cannot be turned on at the same time. When connecting tube power amplifiers, the protect switch must be turned toward the corresponding direction. For example, when you use tube amp B, the protect switch should be moved towards B. Set the protect switch first, and then turn it on/off.
2. When you use a tube amp and a transistor power amp, and you want switch to the transistor amplifier, please turn down the volume of the tube amp to reduce false load heating.
3. For models with tube amp protection, if two transistor power amplifiers are connected, the switch in the middle should not be moved, and the dummy load can be disconnected. By doing so, the power amplifier can be switched at will without connecting to a dummy load.
4. The dummy load sink cannot withstand high power. Please do not connect high-power transistor amplifier with dummy loads. Please lower the volume.
