Features of Balanced Output:
- The Isolation Transformer can sense electricity, and it can also transmit interference from the induced electricity. It eliminates interference by grounding the midpoint of the transformer output;
- The capacitors and inductors in users' electrical appliances cause interference during charging or discharging, or when they are operating. These interferences are eliminated by balancing the output of the ground wire;
- The ground wire at the middle point of the balanced output is grounded, so that the ground wire of both output wires is 110V, the voltage difference is stable, and the noise of the ground wire is suppressed.

Why is EI transformer superior to toroidal transformer in audio isolated power supply?
1. EI transformer is used because of its strong anti-interference ability. For the same interference by mains electricity, the output interference is greatly reduced by EI transformer after processing. The effect of a toroidal transformer is not ideal, because the output interference value is several times larger.

Interference test of toroidal transformer:

2. EI transformer has strong anti-DC interference ability, while toroidal transformer has weak anti-DC interference ability:
The transformer is DC isolated, and alternating current can pass through. So why do you need to add a DC removal board? This is because toroidal transformers are easy to magnetically harmonize. When there is a small interference, toroidal transformer will produce noise. When there is a large interference, toroidal transformer will enter a saturated state, output power will be decreased, and even a fuse will be burned. Therefore, the toroidal transformers should add a DC removal board, which shows that the performance of toroidal transformers to remove DC interference is poor! The DC removal circuit greatly increases the input internal resistance, which has a great impact on the sound!

However, EI transformer contains an iron core, which is not completely closed. It contains voids on the magnetic circuit, which greatly increases the ability to withstand magnetic flux, and does not appear to be in a saturated state where the incoming current becomes larger and the magnetic flux remains unchanged!

3. The power consumption of the best EI transformer is extremely low, which is comparable to that of toroidal transformers. Including backlight, the EI transformer only consumes 5.2W, which is not higher than the power consumed by a toroidal transformer.

4. What is the negative effect of adding a DC interference removal module in front of toroidal transformer?
A. After the primary of toroidal transformer is added with a DC removal module, the module will step down and increase the internal resistance (3 bridge rectifiers and 0.8V with 1 diode on). B. After having this DC removal module, it doesn't matter how thick the wall line in front of you is upgraded. C. The current passes through a diode nonlinear device, which deteriorates the sound, and your good wire cannot function.

If you have toroidal isolation transformer, you can try to get rid of a DC removal board, and the sound will become loose and natural. But when the interference is stronger, the toroidal transformer will still produce noise.

In terms of anti-interference, EI transformers are stronger than toroidal transformers for the following reasons:
1. With the same power, the volume of EI transformer core is larger, more coils are used, and the material cost is greatly increased.
2. The price of toroidal transformer is cheap because the production cost is greatly reduced, and the material is cheap. And the price of the finished toroidal transformer is much lower than the price of materials such as iron core and copper wire of EI transformer! Due to the large and complex process of EI transformer, its material cost is much higher.
