J-Box Audio Measurement Box for Speakers Frequency Response Impedance Curve Measurement Kit Support for JustMLS/REW
Description:
- This is a set of devices for measuring the frequency response curve, impedance curve and other data of speakers. This device (J-BOX) is a rather convenient audio measurement tool developed to facilitate the use of the measurement function of LspCAD speaker design software (JustMLS). Its circuit composition structure is also applicable to the frequency response and impedance measurement of REW (Room EQ Wizard).
- This measurement box J-BOX greatly simplifies the operation and preparation of software and hardware. It integrates the original required equipment and complex connection, switching, debugging and other work into a box (including sound card, power amplifier, microphone amplifier). Only one knob can complete the switching.
- The connection between the J-BOX and the computer only needs one USB port, just plug in the USB cable, and all the settings of the sound card are completed. The built-in sound card specially designed for the measurement box completely eliminates the various settings in the computer volume console, and can be used directly by plugging in WinXP and Win 64-bit computers. Truly drive-free and setting-free, saving time and effort in measurement work.
- The built-in 1875 power amplifier of J-BOX can provide 1~7Vrms (15W) level output. The original constant feedback circuit can change the output at any time during measurement without having to set the volume console on the computer again.
- The built-in MIC amplifier provides +20dB ~ +27dB gain to adapt to microphones with different sensitivity.
- The principle framework of this device is roughly as shown in the following figure (respectively, the working modes of "sound card calibration", "impedance measurement" and "frequency response measurement"). This mode can support a variety of audio measurement software.

- The matching measurement microphone is the WM-6X series of microphone heads for Panasonic, which have been tested, screened and calibrated one by one (as shown in the picture below):
Each microphone comes with an individual calibration file to ensure excellent response characteristics (20-20000Hz, +/-1dB).
A 1/4-inch "camera fixing hole" is specially made at the bottom of the measuring microphone attachment, which can be easily installed on a common camera tripod.
