Linear Power Supply Heating Problem:
- The heating of linear LDO power supply mainly comes from three aspects: current size, input/output voltage difference, and whether the external heat dissipation is reasonable; For LDO chips with high integration currently, please calculate the output current reasonably, dissipate heat appropriately, and ensure proper input and output voltage difference; The greater the pressure difference, the greater the heat generation when the current is constant; The larger the current, the greater the heat generation when the pressure difference is constant; Under conditions of large pressure difference and high current, LDO will inevitably not be able to operate normally for a long time.
- Three ways to optimize heat dissipation using linear LDO:
1. Increase the current output margin of the chip, that is, parallel connection of multiple chips.
2. You can add heat sinks and auxiliary heat dissipation, such as fans.
3. Reduce the pressure difference between input and output.

- Module input anti reverse diode description: The module is shipped by default with an anti reverse diode soldered to the input. The purpose of this diode is to prevent reverse connection and avoid buyer burnout, which may cause after-sales problems; However, in actual use, the higher the current, the greater the heat generation and loss of the diode, which is not suitable for existence under high current. Therefore, after the buyer confirms the positive and negative poles and measures the basic functions of the module, if possible, the diode can be removed and the two solder pads can be short circuited. Please be aware!
