SKY ROVER 68SAW Professional Wide-field Astroscope F/3.9 Astrographic Camera 2.5-inch Dual-speed Focuser

Description:

- 68SAW is a compound chromatic aberration fast focus ratio star lens from SSKY ROVER Optics that can fast forward to F/4 or below. It can meet many of your photography needs. Its net aperture is 68mm, focal length is 265mm, and aperture reaches 3.9, making it easier to achieve high signal-to-noise ratio under the same exposure time. 68SAW has a very wide field of view and is suitable for the needs of mobile jungle under high stability structure.
- The 68SAW professional astrographic camera is different from the 50SAW. It adopts a design concept similar to the 110SAW, with a layout of two groups in front and back. Compared with the far separation structure, it has better stability and reliability. Its structure is similar to the common method of adding and subtracting focus mirrors from the main lens. Please note that the SAW series camera does not achieve fast focus ratio through the combination of the main lens and the reducing focus lens. In the design, the front and rear units are integrated and optimized, and a smaller rear working distance is used to avoid the instability of the wide separation structure, which greatly improves the seismic resistance and reliability of the astrographic camera. Do not disassemble or separate the two components during use, as the front group has significant residual aberration and cannot be used alone. During factory production and calibration, the front and rear groups are precisely paired, and improper disassembly or repeated installation will seriously affect the image quality. Please note that the working distance and adjustment method are different from those on traditional defocusing structures. Please carefully read the adjustment instructions to obtain high-quality imaging.

Features:
- Seven pieces and seven groups, APO apochromatic professional star lens, including three pieces of SD glass. Special integrated design, with the front group being three separate and the rear group being four separate. Effectively reduces chromatic aberration under large aperture, resulting in clean and sharp imaging.
- The original flat field supports full frame imaging and does not require a flat field lens. The front group has significant aberration residue and cannot be used alone.
- 68SAW can provide a 44mm imaging ring with very little edge loss throughout the entire frame. Due to the large aperture, small pixel cameras are highly sensitive to back intercept and focal plane adjustments. After extensive testing, small pixel cameras have shown excellent performance at APS-C half frame. However, in full frame imaging, there may be differences in edge performance due to differences in intercept adjustments, which require post correction. If you use a camera with larger pixels, you can also achieve better imaging at full frame. Please choose the appropriate camera according to your own needs in practical use!
- Unlike traditional wide separation astroscope, the 68SAW rear unit has a relatively concentrated and far separation structure, ensuring stability during use. The rear intercept can be adjusted through an adjustable rear intercept mechanism. The direction of aberration correction is opposite to that of traditional defocusing lens, please pay attention when adjusting. The default back intercept is 55mm, supporting collaborative work such as OAG, filter wheel, and cooled camera.
- 68SAW adopts CNC process of the lens tube and focusing seat as a whole, reducing the number of connecting parts, making it more stable and integrated. Dual speed toothed design. The focusing seat is compatible with most electric focusing accessories on the market.
