Description:
ArtNet-DMX2 is an Ethernet to DMX bidirectional converter. It provides two-way network Art-Net to DMX512 bidirectional conversion capability. The device uses a high-speed processor (for ARM) that follows the standard Art-Net protocol and provides an RJ45 network interface as well as a standard DMX512 input and output interface. ArtNet-DMX2 is highly compatible with protocol standards, enabling strong real-time performance and stable and reliable operation.
ArtNet-DMX2 is configured with an IP address 2.xxx and a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0, which generally does not need to be modified. It is plug-and-play. Special network configurations can be modified through the PC configuration tool and WEB browser.
Input Mode:
Input mode converts the DMX signal from a conventional console to an Art-Net signal, which is then transmitted over Ethernet. It's like a standard Art-Net console. It can control all Art-Net nodes connected to the same UNIVERSE on the network. This mode enables the rapid networking of traditional DMX devices to save user investment and achieve great economic benefits.
Output Mode:
The output mode receives information from the same UNIVERSE Art-Net compatible transmitter and converts it into a DMX512 signal, which allows direct control of the DMX device for networking.
Configuration:
ArtNet-DMX2 uses PC-based configuration tools and web browsers to configure devices concisely. The Art-Net standard uses a Class A IP address and can be set to 2.x.x.x (subnet mask 255.0.0.0) or 10.x.x.x (subnet mask 255.0.0.0). If the console has special settings, you can change the device IP to the same network segment as it. IP addresses can be selected in four modes: 2.x.x.x automatic, 10.x.x.x automatic, DHCP and user-defined modes. The first two IP addresses can be generated automatically, the subnet mask is 255.0.0.0. The DHCP address is assigned by a DHCP server, and the last one is customized as needed. Configure devices to communicate with each other on the same network segment.
