Description:
XCNet-FX5U is a high-performance protocol conversion gateway designed to meet the increasing demand for factory equipment informatization (equipment network monitoring and production management). It is suitable for Ethernet data acquisition of the PLCs for Mitsubishi MELSEC iQ-F series (FX5U, FX5UJ and FX5UC). It is very convenient to build a production management system.

The XCNet-FX5U has two physical interfaces. LAN1 and LAN2 ports have independent LAN capabilities. LAN1 is a dual RJ45 interface with switch function for connecting to PLC. LAN2 is a single-port RJ45, which is mainly used for host computer acquisition or touch screen connection.

XCNet-FX5U can realize the NAT address translation, that is, the IP address of the PLC connected to LAN1 port can be mapped to any IP address of LAN2 port. It conveniently solves the problem that the field device cannot modify the IP address.

The LAN1 of the XCNet-FX5U will automatically establish a connection with the PLC and map the FX5U to a ModbusTCP and SLMP (MC3E) server at the LAN2 port.

Features:
1. Can be mounted on a 35mm rail. LAN1 is a dual-port RJ45 with switch function and can connected to a PLC. LAN2 is a single-port RJ45, which can be connected to a touch screen or host computer system. The XCNet-FX5U can be powered by an external 24VDC power supply.
2. Integrated WEB server: Device parameters and running diagnostics can be set via web page, and configuration can also be made through BCDevice tool. It can be configured arbitrarily from LAN1 or LAN2 ports.
3. Map the FX5U (for Mitsubishi) to a ModbusTCP and SLMP (MC3E) server on the LAN2 port. ModbusTCP and SLMP (MC3E) connections can be implemented without PLC for Mitsubishi.
4. NAT function: TCP and UDP protocol packets can be forwarded across network segments, and PLC data can be accessed by expanding network segments.
5. LAN2 supports the ModbusTCP server function. It can map FX5U to LAN2's ModbusTCP server. The mapping relationship between Modbus and PLC internal software components (for Mitsubishi) can be freely edited.
6. LAN2 supports SLMP (MC3E) server function. It can map FX5U to SLMP (MC3E) server of LAN2, which is convenient for OPC to use Ethernet driver function for Mitsubishi.
7. The LAN2 port can support up to 32 host computer access.
8. Using SLMP (MC3E) protocol (for Mitsubishi) or ModbusTCP, it can realize high-level language (such as VB, VC, C#, etc.) programming, realize data communication with PLC, and facilitate the development of production management system.
9. SCADA (host computer configuration software) supporting OPC channel communicates with PLC in OPC mode.
