Constant Current Electronic Load USB Aging Discharge Tester 100W 20V 5A UL003

Features:

- Multiple Input Ports
- Automatic temperature control fan
- Knobs for fine and coarse adjustment
- Expandable USB tail plug
- Built-in buck-boost fan drive
- Optional internal and external power supply

Package Included:
- 1 x Constant Current Electronic Load

Fan Jumper Description:
- OFF: Manually shut down the fan.
- AUTO: Automatically control the temperature of the fan.
- ON: Forcibly turn the fan on.

Fan External Power Supply Port: Require 5-24V DC Power Supply

- The bottom of the load is flat, so users can replace it with a higher power 1155 fan with bracket.
- Users who need low power can also replace it with a thinner 1U 1155 server fan by themselves.

Note:
- You can change the fan with a 1155 fan with base (12V) and 1155 fan tapping screws.
- Input port for Lightning only support for data cables of iPhone7 and below, not for iPhone 8 or X.
- The current for the MicroUSB and Lightning ports should not exceed 2.5A.

Fan Jumper Description:
- OFF: Manually shut down the fan. It is suitable for low-power devices
- AUTO: When it exceeds temperature limit, the fan will automatically turn on to control the temperature.
- ON: The fan will keep working. It is suitable for high-power devices.

Fan External Power Supply Description:
- The working voltage of our 1155 fan is 12V, the working current is 0.6A, and the power is 7.2W. If the UL003 load is used to measure 5V output charging head, once the fan is started, the operating current is 7.2W/5V=1.44A. That is to say, once the fan starts to work, the current will be around 1.4A, which will affect the measurement results. Simply speaking, when a 5V power supply is used and the fan is started, the load should be adjusted above 1.44A, so that it will have a constant current effect.

How to measure smaller current? Here are solutions:
- 1. The fan is set to AUTO mode (factory default). When there is small current, the temperature of PCB will not be too high and the fan won’t start, not affecting the measurement of small current.
- 2. The fan is set to OFF mode and the fan won’t turn on. It is for measurement in a short time with low-power and not very hot heatsink.
- 3. Use an external power supply to power the fan.

Requirement for External Power Supply: 5-20V (5.5x2.1 DC interface, inside + and outside -)
Note: Please ensure that the power of the external power supply is large enough.
Here are some examples for your reference.
- If your power supply is only 5V, it needs current about 1.5A.
- If your power supply is 12V, it needs current about 600mA.
- If your power supply is 24V, it needs current about 400mA.

- When the external power supply is 5-24V, the system will automatically switch it to 12V to power the fan by using the buck-boost circuit. Therefore, users who replace the fan by themselves should use 12V DC cooling fan with 1155 interface.

UL003 Adjustable Resistance Load Parameters:
- Input Voltage: DC 5-20V
- Input Current: Maximum 5A
- Peak Power: 100W; Recommended Standard Power is 65W (For long-term 100W users, it is recommended to replace it with a more powerful 1155 fan.
