Module Chip Description:
With a high linearity, double-balanced active mixer core and integrated local oscillator buffer amplifier, the ADL5801 provides high dynamic range frequency conversion from 10MHz to 6GHz. A dedicated linearization architecture allows the mixer to provide enhanced IP3 performance at high input levels. The bias adjustment feature optimized input linearity, single sideband noise figure, and DC current from a single control pin. In mobile applications, in-band blocking signals can cause dynamic performance degradation, and the high input linearity of the ADL5801 can solve this problem. The adaptive biasing feature enables high IP3 performance in the presence of strong blocking signals. When strong interference no longer occurs, the ADL5801 automatically biases to achieve low noise figure and low power consumption.

This items provides excellent local oscillator-RF and LO-IF leakage, which is typically better than -40dBm. The output of the IF is internally connected to a source impedance of 200 Ω. When the load is 200 Ω, the voltage conversion gain is 7.5 dB (typical). The wide frequency range of the open IF output makes the ADL5801 suitable for use as an upconverter in a variety of transmission applications.
