FreeBCI-EEGSim-OLED EEG Development Signal Generator OLED Version EEG Sensor Support PC Synchronization Mode

Features:

- The EEG development signal generator adopts an OLED display screen and is operated through five directional keys, making GUI usage more intuitive and convenient.
- Built-in lithium battery and charging management circuit, charged through USB Type-C port.
- Equipped with battery level detection function, displaying the current battery level in real-time on the GUI.
- The USB Type-C port has both charging and communication functions, which can charge the built-in lithium battery and communicate with the upper computer through the USB Type-C port to generate real-time EEG waveforms issued by the upper computer.
- Built-in TF card holder, supports FAT32 file system, can read files in TF card and generate corresponding EEG waveforms.
- The upper computer supports the standard EDF/BDF EEG data file format, which can read the standard EDF/BDF EEG data file, select a certain lead, and send the lead data to the signal generator through the USB Type-C port, and then generate the corresponding EEG waveform.

Mode 1: Standard waveform generation mode
- The EEG signal generator has built-in standard waveforms and currently supports the generation of the following four standard waveforms:
- Standard waveform 1: sine wave, the amplitude and frequency of the sine wave can be adjusted, with an adjustable range of 5uVpp ~ 100uVpp and 5uVpp steps; The adjustable frequency range is 1Hz ~ 64Hz, with 1Hz steps; This waveform is suitable for testing the steady-state response of the collector.
- Standard waveform 2: sweep frequency signal, sweep frequency signal from 1Hz to 64Hz, sweep frequency mode and sweep frequency speed can be set through GUI, this waveform is suitable for testing the frequency response of the collector.
- Standard waveform 3: dual frequency synthesized signal, generating a synthesized signal of two frequency points, with adjustable amplitude and frequency for each frequency point; This waveform is suitable for EEG applications such as attention concentration analysis.
- Standard waveform 4: pulse wave, parameters such as pulse width and repetition frequency can be set through GUI; This waveform is suitable for testing the pulse response of the collector.

Mode 2: Communication mode between upper and lower computers
- The upper computer reads the EDF/BDF file of the EEG standard, selects the data of a certain EEG channel, and sends the EEG data of that channel to the signal generator through the USB Type-C port. After the signal generator obtains the EEG data, it generates the corresponding EEG waveform in real time.
- Through this method, the desired EEG data can be downloaded from Physionet, and through communication between the upper and lower computers, the EEG signal generator can generate corresponding EEG waveforms, which are then input into the EEG signal collector. It is like having a subject with certain EEG characteristics undergoing testing, which greatly facilitates the scientific research process.

Mode 3: TF Card File Reading and Generation Mode
- The above communication method between the upper and lower computers cannot be separated from the PC, and there are still some inconvenient aspects in certain situations. Therefore, a TF card file reading and generation working mode is designed. The upper computer selects a certain EDF/BFD file, selects the corresponding channel, processes it to generate a data file, and then copies the data file to the TF card. The TF card is inserted into the signal generator, and the EEG signal generator is adjusted to the corresponding working mode through the GUI to read the corresponding data file in the TF card and generate EEG waveforms.
- The EEG signal generator supports the FAT32 file system, making it easy to copy data files. Through this working mode, it can work independently of the PC and simulate the generation of EEG waveforms.

Application:
- Suitable for the development, calibration, and testing of EEG collectors.
- Suitable for users who want to use EEG signal generators to simulate real EEG signals.
- Optimized specifically for the development of ADS1299, supporting measurement scenarios with ADS1299 configured in differential mode, SRB1 common reference mode, SRB2 common reference mode, and BIAS common mode negative feedback output mode.
- It is particularly suitable for scientific research purposes in the development of EEG algorithms. When conducting EEG algorithm research and development, pathological subject brain electrodes are rare. If we cooperate with medical institutions to obtain pathological EEG data through clinical experiments, the cost is extremely high. At the same time, there are massive EEG data on websites such as Physionet. Therefore, by downloading BDF/EDF files from Physionet, corresponding EEG waveforms can be generated, which can greatly reduce the difficulty of obtaining pathological EEG data and improve work efficiency.
