Compact. Lightweight. In Control.
- The essence of a Formula steering wheel lies in precise response within a compact form.
- 280FR brings that experience to sim racing through a 280mm diameter, 1050g wheel-only weight, open-top profile, and controls arranged for fast, accurate inputs. Rooted in Formula racing, it is equally suited to prototypes and competitive GT cars.

280MM for Quicker Inputs
- The compact diameter reduces hand travel, making rapid direction changes and repeated corrections more immediate. In Formula and prototype cars, where steering inputs are often small and frequent, your hands remain within a natural, stable operating range.

Open-Top Profile for a Clear View
- The open upper profile reduces obstruction of in-game instruments and standalone DDUs. Whichever display solution you prefer, essential information remains within a natural line of sight.

1050g Lightweight Construction
- Compact dimensions and lightweight construction reduce rotational inertia, bringing vehicle response and fine force-feedback detail more directly to your hands.
- A carbon fiber front panel, aluminum body and internal aluminum grip reinforcements maintain a solid, consistent feel without unnecessary mass.

Race-Grade Prepreg Carbon Fiber
- The front panel is compression-molded from 3K prepreg carbon fiber. Its sculpted front surface creates a three-dimensional load-bearing cross-section, while the rear remains flat, increasing stiffness without unnecessary weight.
- A die-cast aluminum body with CNC-finished critical features provides a stable foundation for steering, button inputs and paddle operation.

Formula-Tuned Grip Ergonomics
- The grip profile is developed around a Formula driving position. Its cross-section, silicone hardness and surface friction were refined through multiple prototypes to balance support, fit and long-session comfort.
- Pressure-injected silicone surrounds a CNC-machined aluminum core, with the matte texture formed directly in the mold for a secure grip with or without racing gloves.

High-Density Controls Within Easy Reach
- 12 RGB buttons, two 7-way funky switches, four 12-position rotary switches and the 6-position Dial Matrix place essential vehicle settings and race functions within easy reach.
- A quick-access module above each grip combines a vertical encoder wheel with an auxiliary thumb button, allowing adjustments from the normal driving position with minimal hand movement.

6-Position Dial Matrix
- The central Dial Matrix switches between Encoder Remapping profiles and rotary macro configurations, giving the same controls access to multiple functions.
- The four 12-position rotary switches can operate as multi-position switches or encoders. The Dial Matrix itself can also operate as an encoder when required.

CSD Nano Integration
- Through CONSPIT Link 2.0, CSD Nano displays the current Dial Matrix position and corresponding Encoder Remapping assignments.
- Customizable function labels update with the selected position, keeping each control clearly matched to its current function.

Fully Customizable RGB Telemetry
- 10 RGB RPM LEDs, 12 RGB-backlit buttons and four backlit 12-position rotary switches form a complete visual telemetry system.
- Lighting can be configured through CONSPIT Link 2.0, with full SimHub support for RGB and LED control plus official presets for RPM, flags, vehicle status and custom telemetry cues.

Formula-Style Rocker Shifter
- The linked rocker mechanism allows both upshifts and downshifts with either hand, keeping full shifting control available while the other hand adjusts vehicle settings.
- Its one-piece die-cast aluminum construction is CNC-finished at critical features. Magnetic feedback delivers a crisp action, while Hall sensors provide contactless input detection.

Dual-Clutch Paddles as Standard
- Hall-sensor clutch paddles support Bite Point starts, dual-axis and independent-axis modes. Die-cast aluminum arms and carbon fiber paddle plates combine rigidity with a light, consistent action.

Flexible Connectivity
- With an ARES wheelbase, the internal USB channel inside a CDP or CDR quick release connects directly to the base’s front contacts, eliminating the external data cable.
- 280 FR also includes a Quick-Con Adapter and coiled data cable. Removing the Quick-Con exposes a rear USB Type-C port for direct connection to a Windows PC, enabling use with compatible third-party quick releases and other wheelbases.
