Applications:
Based on 38kHz signal modulation and demodulation, it is a far-infrared converter. Using state grid RS485 chip, far-infrared pair tube for Vishay, integrated circuit for TI, 38KHz crystal oscillator as clock signal source. This product is suitable for electric energy meters, water meters, gas meters and other instruments with local data reading function with far-infrared communication ports.

Product Parameters:
1. Modulation and demodulation signal frequency: 38KHz
2. Communication baud rate: up to 2400bps, higher baud rate will reduce the effective range
3. Communication distance and angle: 3-5 meters, ≤15°
4. Working voltage: from 485 terminal, the highest input voltage can reach 40V, meet the commonly used 5V, 12V, 24V
5. The direction of infrared transmission and receiving is about 120°, not 360°. In the external infrared test, it is not that the closer the distance, the more stable performance. Since the infrared transmission is a fan-shaped area, the transmission axis of each tube will be a bit deviated, which will cause unstable communication when being close sometimes. It is recommended to keep the distance between 15cm-50cm during testing. It doesn't matter if the distance is a little longer, gradually increase the test distance, and it can work normally when the distance is 3 meters in our test.
6. Infrared can only be tested with expensive handhelds or other special conversion tools. This needs many tools and causes inconvenient operation. The converter solves this problem. Thanks to standard RS485 interface, it is convenient to wire and simple to use.
