FAQ:
Q1: What should I do if X820 board cannot detect HDD or SSD?
Answer: Please use a good quality power adapter. With a poor quality power supply, your hard drive will not be recognized because the current of power supply is insufficient.

Q2: Do I need to provide external power for X820 expansion board?
Answer: Yes. Power supply specification: DC 5V 4A; interface: DC 5.5x2.5 mm.

Q3: What kind of hard disk is recommended to use with X820 expansion board?
Answer: Basically it can support all 2.5" SATA HDD and SSD. But we recommend using branded SSD.

Q4: Why can't I boot from SSD or HDD?
Answer: Customer feedback: I followed the same steps you provided, and my SSD cannot be started. I tried again with a normal SATA hard drive and it worked fine. My original SSD (Version for Patriot Burst 240GB) consumed too much power. Therefore, it cannot be started.

Q5: Can expansion boards be stacked? Do USB cable and network bridge cross?
Answer: In theory, you can stack X820 expansion boards and use them via a USB cable. But the problem of how to power them needs to be solved. If you put them together, it may require more power supply. In fact, we did not test how to stack them together. Thank you for your understanding!

Q6: After installing hard disk, can I boot directly from drive without using Micro SD card?
Answer: Please refer to our WIKI link for raspberrypiwiki.com/index.php/X820
