* It is a DIY kit that requires self-assembly. This product is suitable only for buyers with basic electronics knowledge and hands-on skills; please refrain from purchasing if you lack relevant experience.

* The original mechanism is fitted with a mono magnetic head, which needs to be manually replaced with a stereo magnetic head. Note: If you use the original mono head without replacement, audio noise will occur.

* The kit operates on a 6V power transformer. Two variants are available for selection as needed: playback-only version and record-playback dual-purpose version.

* This unit only provides pre-amplified signal output and must be connected to a power amplifier to produce audible sound.

* Connect the audio source signal for recording. Press the playback button and record button simultaneously to start recording.

* Remove the 4 screws securing the tape deck mechanism. Press the stop button on the mechanism to open the tape compartment door. Note: The mechanism cannot be removed without opening the compartment door.

* Unscrew the two fixing screws for the control buttons on both sides of the mechanism.

* Remove the fixing screw on the left side of the magnetic head. Loosen the right-side screw slightly (this screw adjusts the azimuth angle of the magnetic head).

* Slide the original magnetic head out to the left, install the new stereo magnetic head, solder all connecting wires, and adjust the magnetic head azimuth angle via the right-side screw to complete installation.

* Press down the playback button. Remove the left fixing screw of the magnetic head, and slightly loosen the right azimuth adjustment screw. Slide out the original magnetic head to the left, mount the stereo magnetic head, solder all wires firmly, and tune the magnetic head azimuth via the right screw to complete the operation.

* You must properly calibrate the magnetic head azimuth after replacing the magnetic head. Poor azimuth adjustment will result in muffled playback sound, unbalanced left and right channels and other audio faults. The magnetic head azimuth can also be fine-tuned through the gap of the tape compartment door after full assembly; a tiny screwdriver is required for this operation.
