Description:

- The NCH8200HV is significantly different in size from the previous-generation NCH6100HV. Its length is only 18mm, its width is 17mm, its PCB thickness is 1.0mm, and its maximum thickness is 5.5mm.

- Due to the small size of the module, the fixing screw holes are not designed and the input and output of the four pin spacing are multiples of the standard 2.54mm.

- If there is no concept of size, then from the figure below the NCH8200HV and common DIP8 integrated circuit comparison chart will be clear at a glance. And with the previous generation of NCH6100HV boost module put together more intuitive, the PCB area is only less than 1/4 of the NCH6100HV, the thickness is only 1/3 of the NCH6100HV, which brings the possibility of a more compact and lightweight glow clock design.

- In order to reduce the thickness, the NCH8200HV can be brought closer to the main control board. Instead of the common 2.54mm pin, a gold-plated pin with a diameter of 1mm is used. After the pin is inserted, the universal board can be used conveniently. The breadboard builds the test circuit.


- Although the NCH8200HV is reduced in size, the load capacity and conversion efficiency are high.

- Whether it is an ultra-low voltage input of 2.5V or 2.8V, or a lithium battery-powered and USB-powered, NCH8200HV can provide high-efficiency high-voltage power supply for glow clock applications.


- As can be seen from the figure below, the lithium battery can easily drive six IN-18 tubes (anode resistance 6.8K), and it can easily drive 10 IN-12 tubes (anode resistance 20K). Some high-voltage power supply modules designed by DIY enthusiasts can be seen on the market with low-voltage input, but the load capacity is low at low voltage and they cannot drive 6-8 light tubes.
